Center for Spirituality and Sustainability

Only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last fish has been caught, only after the last river has been poisoned, only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.
-- Cree Native American saying

Seeking Your Involvement

The Alliance continues to gather materials and contacts as we create the Center for Sustainability and Spirituality that will provide programs, resources and a web site addressing environmental concerns from a spiritual perspective. We'd love to have you involved in any way, from helping with programs and sharing articles to participating on the Steering Committee or providing financial support. Let us know at iasa@mtn.org.

In the mean time, here are some articles and links to get you started!

Community Prayer from Cyberspace
by Peter Lee

I wish for you discomfort at easy answers, half truths, superficial relationships so that you will live deep in your heart. May you be blessed with anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation so that you will work for justice, equity, and peace. May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer so that you will reach out your hands to comfort them and change their pain into joy. And may you have the foolishness to think that you can make a difference in the world, so that you will do the things others tell you cannot be done.
